Our childhood can be a wonderful experience, but it can also come with its fair share of challenges, for both children and their parents! Whether it’s colic and sleeping problems as infants, teething, tantrums and food fussiness as toddlers, or the emotional upheaval of starting a new school as young children, growing up can be an emotional rollercoaster. When you have a particularly sensitive child or a child with needs, all of these experiences can be magnified a hundred-fold.

For babies and children who may be too young for muscle testing, or children with autism who may be unable to tolerate being tested directly, the good news is that they can still receive all the benefits of a balance! As a parent, you are closely connected to your child, both physically and emotionally.  And as such, I can easily and effectively use a parent as a surrogate for their child. This involves the parent either physically touching the child while I test, or emotionally/ mentally connecting with their child while I ‘lock’ it into their body’s circuit so that I can work with their child’s energy. It’s similar to an electrical current travelling along a wire - in the same way the body’s energy can be transferred from one person to another person.

I have personally carried out many balances on my 3-year-old daughter Maya using my husband as a surrogate and have found it to be an extremely effective tool in supporting her through childhood illnesses, tantrums, emotional apocalypses and more!

I have a long-held love and passion for animals. In 2018, my husband Mark and I adopted a beautiful rescue dog called Lucy. Although we sadly lost her recently, she will continue to be one of the great loves of my life. Through my own experiences of testing out healing modalities on Lucy, I have learned how incredibly helpful kinesiology can be in treating our pets, not only in supporting them with various physical health problems, such as digestive issues, arthritis, skin infections etc, but also in helping them deal with emotional and behavioural issues, like aggressiveness, separation anxiety and trauma. Through using the surrogate process as described above, I have discovered that it is possible to successfully balance a pet through their owner!

In my own journey with Lucy, I have discovered a range of natural and holistic supplements that I have found to be highly beneficial. Through muscle testing, I can determine which supplements may be the most suitable to meet your pet’s needs. In this way, kinesiology can help you to avoid wasting money on supplements which may not actually be compatible or effective for your pet.

Doing a balance for your pet will also help to deepen your relationship with them by helping you to understand how they’re feeling and what is going on for them. It can be an incredibly healing experience for both of you!
